        The XIIIth Medieval-Renaissance Conference at Clinch
                Valley College, Wise, Virginia.
                   September 16th-18th 1999

 Keynote: Dolores Warwick Frese, University of Notre Dame
        "The Wife of Bath as 'Mother Tongue': Chaucerian
        Allegories of Vernacular Practice"

 Submissions are welcome on all topics of interest to Medieval
 and Renaissance scholars, including:
 History, Philosophy, English and Foreign literature, Art,
 Music, Pedagogy.

 Please submit a brief abstract accompanied by a one-page vita
 to:
