The Fourteenth International Conference on Medievalism,
sponsored by Studies in Medievalism, will take place September
16-18, 1999, in Bozeman, Montana.  Proposals for papers or full
sessions are welcome on all aspects of the postmedieval
reception of the Middle Ages from 1500 to the present--in art,
architecture, historiography, literature, religion, popular

This is a particular rich area for Victorianists, and we hope to
see many of you in Bozeman.  (Trips to Yellowstone can be
arranged.)  Featured speakers include Ronald Hutton (Bristol),
on "the New Druidry"; John Kirby (Purdue), Tom Shippey (St.
Louis, the new editor of Studies in Medievalism), and Leslie J.
Workman, founding editor.
