CALL FOR PAPERS

The Sidney Society is organizing a session at the 2002 Annual RSA meeting
in Tempe on "Melanchthon and the Sidneys". The goal is to give some
well-deserved prominence to the role of Melanchthon and his influence on
the religious and political ideas and attitudes of the English Protestant
culture to which the Sidneys (notably Philip and Mary) belonged.

Papers should not exceed 20 minutes in length; abstracts should be
e-mailed as quickly as possible (but in any case before April 28) to any
or (preferably) all of the following: Margaret Hannay (hannay@siena.edu),
Roger Kuin (rkuin@yorku.ca), Robert Stillman (rstillma@utk.edu).
