News: 2022-12-27: Somtime in January or February 2023 this forum will go into hibernation ("Maintenance mode"). Maybe the yet to be found successor to Thomas Ricklin, or my own successor (also yet to be found) will reactivate the forum sometime in the future. (hck)

From their website:
Funded by a research grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation - one of the largest awarded recently to the University of Oxford ’s Humanities Division - Cultures of Knowledge is an interdisciplinary group of scholars working with partners in Britain and abroad to reconstruct the correspondence networks central to the revolutionary intellectual developments of the seventeenth century. ... One group is working to catalogue, edit, and preserve the rich archives of correspondence deposited in the Bodleian Library by leading Oxford men of science in the seventeenth century.

Involved is, among others, the Comenius research group at the Institute of Philosophy, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Prague.
