Heinrich C. Kuhn I guess sometime in the rather near future I'll copy my contributions to this group over to Web4Ren Forum (W4RF) (as a subsection of the section " The interesting stuff").
The reason is that I'll probably leave facebook rather soon after G+ is open to the public and accommodates institutional accounts on G+.
Discussion then can continue both here and on W4RF (and of course in other places).
If you want me to copy *your* contributions to W4RF too: please let me know.
If as of now you are not a member of W4RF, and want me to create an account for you there: please let me know.
If as of now you are not (yet) on G+ and want me to send you an invitation: please let me know.

Heinrich C. Kuhn From a discussion a few moments ago on Twitter (espec. with esteinhauer@ & wimbauer): One of the main differences between the Renaissance letters this group is about and nowadays partially parallel somethings might be that those letters left permanent (material) traces, whereas our discussions via fb, email, etc. etc. pp.most probably will be lost to those writing 500 years in the future.

Heinrich C. Kuhn @Anja: As you'll probably know: Quite a number of prints/copies of (mainly 16th cent.) editions of Cicero's letters have been digitised at MDZ: perhaps they (their materia praefatoria and ms. underlines etc.) can help some concerning the use of Cicero's letters in school contexts.
Concerning the bibliography: some census of 15th-17th century collections of letters is part of what "my" project should provide. However: this would/will be vast: if you have access to the new edition of Melanchthon's letters (by Scheible et al.) and look for the prints and major collections (Camerarius and beyond) they used ... . IMO: this needs a database infrastructure, not a "mere" list or blog.
