7 Comment on letter The letter is dated due to its subject manner and its relation to another letter from Robinson of the same date which said he could not procure the Robertelli edition. Robinson subsequently wrote this upon coming home and finding the Robertelli volume delivered to him; the volume in question is Francesco Robortello, De vita et victu populi Romani. (Bologna, 1559). Robertello wrote the first major commentary on Aristotle's Poetics. Lister wanted to consult his work for his edition of Apicius.
