Seminar für Geistesgeschichte und Philosophie der Renaissance
Notes concerning our OPAC
Last update of the database available to the public: 2003-11-26
Number of bibliographic records in the database: 120069
Number of physical volumes in our library: aprox. 10374
Retrospective conversion has been completed end of July 2000. Our OPAC is now the only more or less complete source for bibliographic information about all of the items in our library; it does contain a great number of records without equivalent in either the Bavarian Union catalogue or the old card catalogue.
The OPAC contains entries for Journals, serial publications, monographs and selected articles from journals, conference proceedings, etc.. When looking for articles you might consult the following resources in addition to our OPAC:
relevant databases offered via a library you have access to (databases such as: · Philosophers' Index, · Arts and humanities citation index, · Current contents, · Periodicals contents index, · Bibliographia Graeca et Latina, · International medieval bibliography)
printed bibliographies like e.g. "Bibliographie internationale de l'Humanisme et de la Renaissance".
The search interface of our OPAC is rather simple, but we hope, that it will be sufficient to permit finding out about the books in our library.
The output for records resulting from your search will be according to ISO Latin-1 (ISO 8859-1). This may cause some (hopefully minor) inconveniences if your equipment should presuppose a different code for encoding items.
